Finding Online Journal Articles Online

This introductory workshop will explain what a journal article is, what “peer-reviewed” means, and why it is important to use these sorts of resources throughout your studies. You will be shown some handy database search tools to create effective search strategies.

The library technician will demonstrate how to navigate to relevant databases through the library website and then demonstrate the search tools to during live searches using Ebscohost and other databases.

Google Scholar is also an important online resource. We will show you how to search and link Google Scholar to the Torrens Library to optimise your access to quality scholarly articles.
